This article will walk you through installing the Canon-Incubator on a Windows 10 machine.
- In your start menu or on the Cortana search bar, type 'Printer' and you should see 'Printers & Scanners' come up. Select that.
- Next, click on 'Add a printer or scanner'
- It will start searching but, will not find the printer we are trying to add.
- You will need to click on 'The printer that I want isn't listed'
- Next, you will come to the following screen where you will select 'Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname'
- Click, Next
- On the next screen, please ensure it looks like the following below
- Device Type: Autodetect
- Hostname or IP address: 172.16.2.105
- Port name: 172.16.2.102 (This will automatically fill in)
- Click, Next
- It will now start detecting the TCP/IP port
- Now you will come to the following screen where is is saying addtional port information is required.
- Leave it at its default 'Generic Network Card' and click, Next
- It will now detect the driver model and then switch to the screen where you choose the driver
- Here, you will select the following
- Manufacturer: Canon
- Printers: Canon Generic Plus PS3
- Then, click Next
- After it installs the printer driver, it will ask you to name the printer
- Please type: Canon-Incubator
- Then, click Next
- Now, you will be asked if you want to share this printer or not.
- Select, 'Do not share this printer'
- Click, Next
- You will finally come to the end of the wizard. You should see 'You've successfully added Canon-Incubator'
- Click, Finish.
- All set!
